Happy Christmas Preparations...

I hope that everyone is enjoying the Christmas season and all the preparations that come along with it. It's easy to get frustrated at the line ups and busy-ness...but just step back and enjoy the season. Don't forget the reason that we give at Christmas. It's because God gave us the most precious gift of all, his Son. I challenge anyone who reads this to do what we've done with our children the last few years at Christmas. Find someone in need, whether financially or someone who is lonely, or just someone who would not expect you to be doing something nice for them, and then do something out of the ordinary for them this Christmas season. There's nothing better than giving a gift, big or small, to someone who is completely unsuspecting of it and seeing the surprise and enjoyment on their face. That's the real meaning of gift-giving as far as I am concerned.

AWANA CUBBIE CLOSING...

Abby has been attending Awana Cubbies in Sussex this year with her friend, Grace. Yesterday was the closing for the year (yeah, no more driving down every week!) She did have a great time, learned alot and make some new friends. Even Mom and Dad got a participation awared:)

EBBI PLAY

EBBI put on a play last Friday night entitled 'No Matter the Cost'. They really did a great job and portrayed the life of a church who is touched by persecution and their pastor is sent to jail for preaching the Bible. It really touched my heart and made me realize how very thankful we should be to live in a country with religious freedoms.

SPRING FUN!

Well, I think spring might finally be here..I'm anxiously anticipating planting a veggie garden for the first time in alot of years! Mrs. Fosmark is also going to give me some raspberries, so I'm excited to get them transplanted soon. There's a new nursery in town...Green Village...I think Abby and I will have to check it out on Friday..maybe we'll have some pictures. Spring and gardening are my escape...just sit down on your knees and dig in the dirt:)

Hello again!

Hello everyone!

Well, spring is here and I thought I'd blog again! I'm going to post a few pictures from our family..and I mean family...trip to Grand Manan in September. We actually got my Dad and Mom to go along as well as my sister and family, and my brother and his little boy. It was a great, relaxing time. Good for my parents, they never do anything like that. Stephen and I are planning to go over again the week of July 21st with friends, Albert and Jocelyn Arsenault.

Thought you'd lost me!!

Hey there!! Been awhile...I've gotten caught up in the Facebook addiction!! Between that and moving, I've been busy. My nephew is going home tonight...he's been with me for 2 weeks, it's been relatively smooth sailing. We just got back from Family Camp this morning...we had a great time even though we didn't get to stay for the whole time. We had to get back to finish up with moving things. 5 days till moving day!! I've been busy packing up, painting the other house, transplanting plants to the new house, etc. That's it for now..

ABBY IS 4!!

It's hard to believe our baby is 4...she had her party May 19th with a few of her little friends. Her birthday was on Sunday the 20th. She's getting to be such a big girl...WE LOVE YOU, BEE!

I'M BACK!!

THE GROUP
Scott, Vanessa and Krystal
Sorry I've been gone so long...very busy...PACKING!! The packing is going well, not as much fun as I thought it would be!! We still don't have anywhere to move to...pray for the Lord's leading and provision. I've always asked the Lord for patience...I didn't really want to learn it this way!! But, He knows best. This past weekend, I went as a chaperone for the Young Adult's overnight trip to Albert Mines. There were about 13 of us, we spent a couple of hours hiking-steep hiking for part of it. Needless to say, I was very sore on Sunday! We had a good time, Smores, hide and seek in the dark, no running water...etc! I'm looking forward to a weekend home and then the weekend after, the ladies from church are headed on an overnight to Mace's Bay...we had a great time of fellowship last year in PEI and I hope it's just as great this year. We have our wonderful planner, Mrs. Fosmark looking after details- she'll pack alot into 2 days! The next weekend, we're going to St. Stephen to pick up my nephew who is staying for 2 weeks...never a dull moment, just the way I like it!

SOLD!!

Well, pending the completion of the sale of the woman's house who wants to buy my house...it's SOLD! We are thrilled and it's amazing how the Lord works. The woman who is buying it was going to look at the house of my neighbour who is listed with a realtor(we had it private sale) and happened to see our sign and called. She's from Ontario and her and her husband are moving here. She called Sunday morning on our way to SS, came to see it at 2 PM Sunday afternoon and by 11 am Monday morning, we had an accepted offer. The home inspection went very well today, just a couple of minor things to fix up. The closing is JULY 5...so if anyone is free that weekend! We have a bid on the house we've been looking at, if that doesn't work out...I don't know what we're going to do?!? BUT, God is the one in control and he's made everything go smoothly to this point.

Abby's insight!!

We were driving down the road the other day in silence...All of a sudden Abby says,"Mommy, I wish I was a birdie!" I thought this was such an adorable thing for a little 3 year old to say...it was cute that she'd been thinking about it. I said, "Oh Abby, that's soo cute, why would you want to be a birdie?" Her response....because she could fly around and poop on everybody! Not the adorable little girl response I was expecting!!

Guess what my husband came home with last night?!?!

My husband called me about 10:30 PM last night and said,"You're going to hate me!?" He went on to explain that he had been on the 4-lane on his way home when a Neon stopped in front of him and threw out 3 bundles. When he got a little closer, he saw that they were these puppies, plus one more that the truck in front of him had hit. He was crying and said that he just couldn't leave them. SO, they came home with him. You can see their little ribs, they ate at WHOLE bag of food last night they were so hungry. Anyways, now comes the dilemma of what to do with them. The dark one loves me and sits at my feet and everyone else loves the other one. Jake is even home from school today to 'look after' them. I'll let you know what becomes of them!!

Back to reality!

Well...our shopping trip is over and we're back to reality. What a wonderful time we had...we spent ALL our money (and more!) We got to eat out, Mexican and Chinese...YUM! I took the picture of my sister's orange bathroom for Sara! I found this beautiful, beautiful quilt for Abby's bed(when she gets a room and has room for a big bed!) I LOVE it...TJ Maxx, it was just what I was looking for! NOW, I need all you smart ladies' opinions on what color I will paint the room. Should it be mauve, pink or yellow...we also got dragonfly sheets to go with it! I also got an adorable, pink, 3-shelf unit with princess figures on the side for 10$ at the Christmas Tree Shop! The only downfall of my trip was that my husband called me to say that Jonathan REALLLY wanted to go with his grandparents to Jillian's graduation at Marantha. He's going to miss 6 days of school and going to be gone from me for 10 days...I wasn't home to get him ready, so I can only imagine what he packed!?! I really had to ask God for peace because I was VERY worried to let him go so far without me...I spent a wakeful night, but I'm OK today. Pray for his safety. I did get to meet him in St. George for a hug on my way back.

Girls road trip!!

I'm so excited....Ashley and I and our friends, Eva and Laura Hodder are heading to Maine bright and early Friday morning on a shopping trip!! No husbands, no housework, no little children!! We're going to spend Friday and Saturday night at my sister's in Gardiner-Saturday we're leaving my little nephew with a friend and all the girls are going to hit Freeport and Portland. We'll leave for home first thing Sunday morning...it should be a great time! Pray for safety on the roads.

FLOWERS...

These are my first flowers of the year...beautiful purple crocuses.

Well, we have someone putting new drywall on our living room ceiling. This means that my couch is in my dining room, my arm chair is in the kitchen, the piano is in the hallway...this is the second day like that....knowing my need for unclutteredness...need I say more. Our hope is, is that the Lord has finally put us in a position where we can move to a house more suited to our family's needs, therefore, we're preparing the house to be put up for sale. We will wait and see what transpires... After looking at Sara's orange walls....I think I may try orange somewhere in the new house, when I find one!!

At the church we attended before going to JLBC, we hung around with Ruth and Rudy Poirier and their 2 boys who were Jon and Jake's ages. We used to spend quite alot of time together, but don't get to see them much anymore. I stopped to see her today, they just moved into a new house a few months ago...it's really cute. Ruth and I are great friends and always seem to just pick up where we left off, even though months go in between times that we see each other. One thing I love about Ruth is that she LOVES SHOES!! Why is this good for me you may ask...well, we both wear the same size and even though I haven't seen her in a few months...she had a pair of shoes waiting for me to take home with me!! Can't have a better friend than that! She also loves to shop like I do, but she says that now that she has her new house, she can't shop anymore...I'm not quite sure if I am willing to give up one for the other. I hope I don't have to choose!!

A Future Sunday School Teacher!!

I couldn't find Abby this morning...I went in her room and found her teaching her baby a story. She always has to have the book and turn the pages like they do in Sunday School...or should I say like her hero, Mrs. Shand does!!

TULIPS,CROCUSES...

These are obviously not from my garden, but it won't be long before mine come out(if it ever warms up!). My sister in Maine said they had snow last night and now today they've had 7 inches of rain and the winds are just like a hurricane...hope we don't get that here!

SPRING CLEANING!!

Well, it's 2 pm and I've changed all the beds, washed the sheets and hung them on the clothes line. I've put away most of the winter clothes, got summer ones out, cleaned up the boys room, washed the walls in the boys room, organized their clothes, cleaned my room, the bathroom and am heading to the kitchen. I started out with making sure the upstairs was tidy as we're having realtors in tonight to assess the situation and everything spiralled after that. I'm a compulsive get rid of-er...I love to de-clutter and get rid of stuff ...so I had an enjoyable morning!!

COUSINS....

Ian Geoffrey and Abigail Monique...two favourite cousins...they are always so excited to see each other and never fight!! They came to visit from Maine 2 weekends ago so that Amy could go Frenchy's shopping for some summer clother. I made supper for them, stirfry, to which I'm told that Ian doesn't like sauce on anything. I did convince him that Auntie Angela made the sauce special for him and it was very good-he did try a little bit. I'll tell you one thing, when he comes to visit Auntie for 2 weeks this summer, he's going to learn to eat some new things:)

TEA PARTIES!!!

This is Gaelyn!

I'm going to do a couple of extra ones just for Jillian...I downloaded the Easter pictures and discovered some other things that I'd taken pictures of!! Ashley has a good friend, Katelyn who is very much like Ashley-silly, uninterested in boys(yeah!), a book worm..she comes from a family of 6 kids who live up the road from us, she's homeschooled as well. The girls have been having tea parties- an English one, a German one, and this one was an Irish one, on St.Patrick's Day. They have theme food and everything. This day, their other friend, Gaelyn, couldn't make it, so they invited Abby to join them. ....they decided after they would never invite Abby again because she was too messy and drank her tea too loudly!! (I'd rather them be having tea parties at 14 then chasing boys!!)
